The Atlanta Renegades visit Possum Park this weekend for a pivotal match in USA Rugby South’s DII competition. Kickoff is at 2:00 pm, and there will be A side and B side matches!

The Knoxville Possums clinched USA Rugby South’s DII Central Division on the road in Atlanta, defeating the Renegades’ DII squad 25-17.

Knoxville 47 Renegades DII 8

Thanks to all who played both A and B matches this past Saturday at Possum Park. As was discussed pre-game, selections have never been harder for A-side positions so congratulations to those who made it and “chins up” to those that didn’t. Hopefully this kind of competition will strengthen our club in the long run, and certainly there are several guys wanting to try out in new positions that need all the game experience they can get. A strong B-side will only make our whole club stronger, and is something I’ve always hoped we’d have.

Possums vs Renegades DII This Saturday

The Knoxville Possums will take on the Atlanta Renegades’ DII side 2.10.07 (12:30) at Possum Park in Knoxville, TN. The Possums are coming off a road win against Atlanta Old White DII, getting the Matrix season started with a 26-10 win.
