In an absolute slugfest,  the Possums come away with a Loss but with heads held high.

Playing in Nashville at the TN Prep. School Football field the Possums showed up with quite a few less than a full 22 man roster, with many members home sick or out of town.  Two weeks worth of rain had the field ready for a muddy encounter.  Greasy ball and great forward play from both sides set the stage for a back and forth match. Nashville, UT, and KRFC at Possum Park Sat. Oct 4

This Saturday will see a full slate of rugby at KRFC’s Home grounds.  The action will kickoff at 11:00am with Nashville v UT, followed by UT(b) v KRFC(B)/U-23 combined side @ 1:00.  Final match pitting KRFC v Nashville at 3:00 to finish it off. So pack up the family and a cooler and make it out to the park for all the rugby you can handle.

For the last time this fall season, the Possum faithful saddled up for another away game. This time we travelled across the plateau to play against the Nashville Outlaws. As 10 of us stood around and watched the 30+ men in black go through their warmups, we knew it was going to be another one of “those days”. Eventually the rest of our team showed up, and 18 guys put on our new possum jerseys ready to play ( Thank you Donna and Vince at Sports Locker ).

Vanderbilt Practice Pitch

From I-440 exit north onto West End. Take a right at Blakemore/31st. Take a left at Natchez Trace (first light) and the field is on your right.

From Downtown exit off of I-40 south onto Broadway. Merge right onto West End. Take a left onto Natchez Trace (across from Centennial Park) and the field is on your left just after the track.

The Possum faithful are gathering at Cracker Barrel, Campbell Stn. Rd. Exit, and heading west @ 0830.
