Frank Bennet stole the show in the first half, scoring three tries, the first coming during the first minues of the match. Flint were on their heels for the entire first half, with the score at the break tallying 43-0. The match was pretty evenly officated, err played, in the second half.

Bitterly cold and snow on the ground. We travelled light, and the highlight of the match was TH’s request to have a player removed from the pitch. He was promptly satisfied.

A match played in knee-high grass and a downpour. Knoxville was able to take advantage of the youthful Michael Weldon at his debut at scrumhalf for Chattanooga.
Mardis Gras Tournament 1998

The Knoxville Possums had a strong showing Feb. 21 and 22 at the annual Mardi Gras Tournament in Baton Rouge, placing 2nd in the Open Division.
