Tonight’s practice will be at the Zone Sports Complex located at 5331 Western Ave. It is located 2 miles west of I-640. Practice will be from 8-10 pm. Bring tennis shoes.

The Nashville Outlaws will travel to the confines of Possum Park to take on Knoxville in a USA Rugby South Divisional test match. Both teams are coming off wins. Nashville won convincingly over Huntsville and Knoxville edged Memphis last Saturday.
It has been a while since both teams were in the same Division and Matrix. Historically, Nashville has won the most games in the series, but Knoxville bettered the Outlaws in Nashville last fall. This should make for one great game- not to mention that (4) of Nashville’s current starters are ex-Possums.
Kickoff is set for 2pm.

On Saturday Knoxville played a very physical Memphis team led by former Possum Greg White. The game looked like it would end in a tie when Knoxville stole a Memphis scrum in the last minutes of play and Brad “Smegal” Meccia picked the ball up and raced 20 meters for the try. A fierce Memphis rally fell just short and the Possums came away with the win 25-20.

Knoxville will open the 2011 matrix season this Saturday when they host the Memphis Blues at Possum Park. Memphis joins the newly realigned midsouth matrix along with Little Rock after playing the last several seasons as members of the deep south. Kick off is set for 2 pm est.

Due to inclement weather practice has been cancelled for Saturday, Feb. 5th. Players are encouraged to attend the free workout at CrossFit Knoxville at 9 am or to do an individual workout over the weekend to improve fitness. Also, BBC America will show the 6 nations game between Scotland and France live at noon on Feb. 5th.
