Possums vs Renegades in ATL: CANCELED

The Possums season ended sooner than expected this spring. The match up v the Renegades in ATL has been cancelled due to the unavailabilty of a pitch due to severe weather in Atlanta.
Old White match canceled.

Possum Park Work Day- a success!

Thanks to those intrepid souls who braved the steady drizzle and 50 degree temps last weekend to make it out PP for the first clean up day of ‘09. Buck, Brad, Reggie, Spinosa, with a late appearance by Feliciano and a very late appearance by McNabb. Trash was picked up from all around the property, Clubhouse cleaned, Basement cleaned and reorganized, trash hauled away (thanks Buck), Press Box Haz-Mat Cleaned up (thanks Nos). Plenty of Hot Dogs were grilled and consumed (thanks Brad and Nos). Keep an eye posted for the next work day soon- it will include such fun activities as spreading seed and painting.
Knoxville A-side comes up short 32-37, B-side wins 35-5

The weather cooperated Saturday encouraging an offensive onslaught between Knoxville and Huntsville in a fight for first place. Huntsville outpaced the Possums in the closing minutes to win 37-32 giving them the outright lead in the Central Pool of USA Rugby South. (more…)

Possums lose by 5. 34-39. The Possums must win out to have a chance to advance.
Preview: A pivotal game in the Central Pool will take place when Huntsville visits Possum Park. Huntsville is undefeated while Knoxville’s only loss came during the first match of the year at Huntsville which was handedly won by the home team. Kick-off is at 13:00 EST.
