Knoxville vs. Huntsville- Feb 7th at Huntsville

Huntsvillelogo The Possums traveled to Alabama to open the Spring 2009 Matrix season. With only one actual practice under our collective belts, due to field constraints and inclement weather, things were expected to be messy.
Huntsville seemed to have already known this as they took the field. Knoxville had a great opening 10 minutes up 7-0 from a try and conversion from Matt Abernathy. Then the lack of fitness and team cohesion caught up with us. Half time saw Huntsville up 19-7, and it only went down hill from there. The Huntsville backs were far too speed for a shaky defense. Final Huntsville 55- Knoxville 10
