The boys in Grey(-ish brown) prevailed over a determined Chattanooga side on Saturday in the ugliest of conditions. The game started slow as both teams tried to adjust to the mud. Knoxville scored first when a 5-m scrum was stolen and touched down. Another Knoxville try in transition play brought the score to 12-0.
If there was any question whether or not Chattanooga would break, it was certainly answered in the next 6 minutes as the home team scored twice in open play bringing the game to a tie. Read More »

The Montgomery Yellowhammers RFC will make the long trip to Knoxville this weekend to play Knoxville for matrix play. Both sides are 1-1, both losing their only away matches. Knoxville and Montgomery have not played in recent memory. Montgomery just finished a stellar season in 2008 with a USA- Rugby South DIII Championship. Read More »

The first home match of the Spring 2009 Matrix season had our in state rivals from down south make the trip up I-75. Rain from the night before and a slight drizzle increased the number of knock-on’s and overall sloppiness, but the Possums managed to stave off a last minute Chattanooga scoring blitz to win 31-14.
