Dayton 31 Knoxville 24

September 21, 2007

Yet again the rugby gods have chosen to punish the faithful by robbing us of several players before another big away-game. This time we traveled up to sunny Dayton, Ohio, to take on the flying pigs. My worst fears were realized when we only had 13 players (plus little’ole me) show up at the pitch … a far cry from the 24 or so we’ve had at practice. And we were fortunate enough to have the assistance of old boy Buck Rogers to tape us in action … for better or worse. The squad that travelled included some new faces to the club but everyone played to the best of their ability/fitness level at this point in the season and I was well pleased.
