This year’s tournament will be played on two fields

ROUND ROBIN PLAY

Round robin play will consist of three pools of three teams. Each team will play the other two teams in its pool. The top team from each pool will advance to the Cup Level, the second team in each pool to the Bowl Level, and the third team in each pool to the Plate Level. Seeding will be based on wins/losses first, then on points for vs. points against.

After the mid-day break and skills competition, each team will play each of the other two teams in their seeded division (Cup, Bowl, and Plate). This format will give every team a guaranteed four matches against four different opponents, and a one in three shot at hardware.

All teams should have a representative present for the 9:00 am captains’ meeting to get last minute tournament instructions. We have a full schedule for the day and have tried to accomodate every team as best we can. Showing up on time is not only appreciated, it will also prevent you from forfeiting a match.

SOCIAL
This year’s official social will be held at Possum Park, which is a few miles from the tourney site. The social will begin immediately after the first teams are eliminated from the tournament. Post-social festivities will commence at Cool Beans Bar and Grill at a time to be determined later.

CAMPING
KRFC is happy to offer free camping at our home pitch, Possum Park, both Friday and Saturday for all participating teams. The park is a few miles from the pitch. KRFC will NOT be providing entertainment, food, or beverages for camping, but we do have running water and facilities. Please contact us in advance if you are interested.

INFORMATION PACKS IN PDF FORMAT FOR TEAMS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON WWW.KNOXVILLERUGBY.COM BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THIS PACK WILL INCLUDE THE TOURNEY SCHEDULE, DIRECTIONS TO THE TOURNAMENT SITE, DIRECTIONS TO THE SOCIAL, AND POST-SOCIAL VENUES.

Check back often for updates. We look forward to seeing you all Saturday!
