The Knoxville Possums clinched USA Rugby South’s DII Central Division on the road in Atlanta, defeating the Renegades’ DII squad 25-17.

The Possums got up quick by 6 points due to an onslaught of penalties against the Renegades and two educated penalty kicks by Tom Jallo. The next 30 minutes saw a defensive struggle. Neither team could muster any offense. Halftime score 6-0.
The Renegades scored quickly after the half off of penalties and forward punches around the ruck. Score 6-7. The Possums answered back with (2) tries out wide. Score 20-7. With 17 minutes remaining, the Possums were getting comfortable when the Renegades went on the offensive scoring (2) tries with missed conversions. Score 20-17.
The Possums solidified the match with a try in the last minute. Score 25-17.
